Boy Math: Flipping a $4,500 Police Tahoe
I bought a police Tahoe for $4,500 and sold it for almost three times that. Real life boy math.
That government auction site you've heard of is real. One day my boy Garrett hits me. He just won the sheriff's K-9 unit at auction. Do I want to pay for it and split the profit? Say less, fam.
We got it back to the warehouse and immediately found a set of OEM Escalade wheels. All black 22s with rubber, $750. Then:
- New center console on eBay, $450
- Civilian door panels, $250 shipped
- Full floor mat set on Amazon, $140
- Some other random stuff
We detailed it. Mom mobile? No. Street sweeper? Yes.
All in, this thing cost us $6,920 and some elbow grease. We listed it on Facebook Marketplace for $15,000 and sold it a few days later for $13,000. That left us $6,000 in profit.
The full story is actually two trucks, at $4,500 and $5,000. That one's for another day.
Ladies, this is how boy math works when you've got a real one. Maybe now you won't shoot down your man's next terrible idea. Big shout out Garrett.
