Does Anyone Actually Buy G/Fore's Colorways?
Can anyone explain G/Fore to me? The brand has always seemed a little at odds with the golf guys I know who are obsessed with the product. Every time I stumble onto the website, I wonder if anyone actually buys all these colorways they merchandise.
I'm looking at shorts that come in acid lime, mosaic and framboise, whatever that means. So I pulled the sales in Particl.
Of the 1,173 pairs of these shorts sold so far in 2025, 51% are black, gray or navy. That acid lime color? 38 pairs.
Shoes next. I hit the best sellers tab, which appears to be sorted from preschool down to adult. Then I looked at actual sales. None of those are in the top five.
Look at what's merchandised and most prominent, then look at what actually sells. The gap between how G/Fore shows up and what they actually sell just keeps getting wider.
I'm not an idiot. I know Nike doesn't sell me shoes by showing me the dad bods that actually buy them. But this is bizarre. I just wanna talk, guys.
Shout out Particl for the data.
